New Model of Portable Prototype of IHLM
- The IHLM is the new Extracorporeal Life Support (ECLS) using H2O2 as the Oxygenating substance
instead of O2 gas in other blood oxygenators. - The IHLM is thus in reality Extracorporeal H2O2 Oxygenation : ECHO.
- ECHO is definitely the ultimate alternative to ECMO - hopefully quite soon, as described in the table below.

CONCLUSION : The IHLM(ECHO) is now ready for testing in advanced research labs . Ideally a CH team should comprise of a CH Surgeon, one Assistant and one Technician.
A final test was programmed at end of October 2013 with the following aimed targets :

COMMENTS
For the first time in the Whole World, a Heart Lung machine : "ECHO" has been able to reach the Peak of Blood Oxygenating Level - The Everest of Blood Oxygenation - EO2 at 13th minute (possibly attainable around the 7th minute. The level of Oxygenation prior to 7th minute will satisfy the O2 requirement of the Patient. Thereafter till the 10th minute, the O2 Debt of the Patient is fully paid) after initiation of "CPB". This World Record (very easily repeatable) in Blood Oxygenation is crucial, particularly for "Life Saving Operation Outdoors" and also Indoors (Hospitals and Clinics) for Cardiac Arrest Patients or very severely Hypoxemic Patients.

The Ideal Heart Lung Machine is the conclusion of the most fascinating history of Oxygenating Pumping Systems which started 2 centuries ago with Le Gallois in 1812.
Very severe gastroenteritis, bronchitis, extreme or very severe burns, very severe bronchial asthma.
Some auto immune diseases such as psoriasis, ulcerative colitis, rheumatoid arthritis and SLE(1 case only). I have planned, for a start, to apply a New Rhumatoid Arthritis Treatment Protocol and a New Psoriasis Treatment Protocol as soon as possible to patients suffering from RA including also RA patients who have not responded to DMARDs (Mauritius and abroad) and to Biologics Treatment Protocols (abroad).
