Test 3 - Technique II to establish CPB

 

Using 3 litres heparinised venous blood and a calculated quantity of H2O2 in HALS

 
  • Circulation time = 20 secs.
  • The overflow at 70mmHg constitutes a safety valve for the patient.
  • Not one single tiny bubble of air enters the "Arterial Blood" Circuit.
  • The Perfusion Pressure 40-65mmHg and the Perfusion Rate 4-12L/min can easily be regulated.
  • Cold oxygenated blood flows without foaming at all into the "Patient's arterial ciculation" in 50 secs. The results (by I-STAT ABG machine) of 2 samples of oxygenated blood taken at 7 mins and at 15 mins of circulation show the Excellent Performance of the Ideal Heart Lung Machine
